Tips：used to do sth. 并不单单是“曾经干什么”，它是在形容一种过去的常态，所以是“过去常常”或“过去一般会”。

Tips：Consume sth. 的意思不光是“用某样东西”，它指的是“用掉、用尽”。

Tips：“客人”在中文里是个带有敬意的词。但在英文里，它是个中性的词。

Tips：the adj. type 被用来指一个种类。你可以说 I’m the adj. type. 也可以说 I’m of the adj. type.
Episode Five. Contrapasso
第5集：平衡

Tips：这里开头的 far be it 是一种倒装现象，把形容词放在句首，然后主谓倒装。例如菲茨杰拉德的小说 Tender Is the Night （夜色温柔）。

Tips：indulge sb. sth. 的意思是“用 sth. 来惯着 sb.”。

【释义·点评】
舆人：造车的人；舆，车。夭死：早死。
造车的人造成车，就希望人都富贵；木匠造成棺材，就希望人早死。
“舆人成舆，则欲人之富贵；匠人成棺，则欲人之夭死也”，揭示了商品社会的特点，商品制造者都希望商品尽快转化为货币，无关仁爱和奸邪。
